Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund signs new deal

The 49-year-old joined Bayern from Red Bull Salzburg in summer 2023 and has been part of a period in which the Bavarian giants have won two Bundesliga titles and the 2025/26 DFB Cup.

"I am very happy to be able to continue contributing to the further development of FC Bayern in the future," Freund said. "Bayern are one of the greatest clubs in the world, and for me, this role has become a labour of love ever since I started here. Together, we've embarked on an exciting journey, and we still have a lot planned for the future."
