New season, new Erling Haaland?
The Manchester City striker has stunned fans by debuting a shortly cropped hairstyle on social media, hours before his team's opening league fixture of 2026/27 against AFC Bournemouth.
The Norwegian is almost as synonymous for his flowing blonde locks as his prolific goalscoring ability, but supporters will have get to used to seeing him with a more streamlined style for the foreseeable future.

The striker later added a video showing off him before and after his trim. Man City's official account were among those complimenting him on the buzzcut, using his social media catchphrase "Nice".
"No way!" said Guardiola after answering Haaland's phone call. "You are lucky you have hair, I would love to have it!"

Man City came from behind to beat Bournemouth after Marcus Tavernier's clinical first-half finish gave the visitors the lead. Marc Guehi equalised in the 84th minute before Josko Gvardiol netted the winner in the first minute of added time.
This is the first time that Erling Haaland's failed to score in his first appearance of a Premier League season.
Haaland's customary Matchweek 1 goal evaded him, though. He had scored in each of his four opening Premier League games of a season for Man City, netting seven times in total, prior to drawing a blank against the Cherries with his new hairstyle.
